Founded in 2017, the Nephrology Society of Botswana (NeSBo) is a professional, non-governmental organization uniting healthcare workers dedicated to improving kidney health across Botswana. We work to promote prevention, early detection, quality renal care, and community awareness through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

Mandate
●Disseminate knowledge on health workers about Renal failure, by organizing professional meeting, conference and lectures.
●Affiliate with international and regional societies in order to exchange information, materials on renal disease.
●Undertaking and promoting research in kidney diseases.
●Creating awareness in the community about kidney diseases and dealing with any matters concerning welfare of kidney disease patients.

Dr Gordana Cavric is Consultant Physician Nephrologist with over 30 years of experience in Botswana. She is Univeristy of Belgrade graduate with medical degree, Specialization in internal medicine degree and Masters and PhD in Nephrology. She has master's in public health from Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg. Dr Cavric was the home mentor for 5 young Nephrologist who got sponsored by ISN. As one of first Faculty members when Medical
School
Started in 2009. She was responsible for residency in Inernal Medicine. She also started Nephrology services at the Government Hospital. Currently she is running 3 hemodialysis units with over 50 patients. Her interested is in vascular Access and is working closely with vascular surgeon.
