It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 4th Botswana International Renal Congress (BIRC 2025), which will be held from October 30th to November 2nd, 2025, in Gaborone, Botswana.

The Scientific Committee is working diligently to develop a dynamic scientific program that will encompass the key areas of nephrology, featuring pre-conference courses, specialized workshops, free communications, and poster presentations. The topics will include clinical nephrology, dialysis, hypertension, interventional nephrology, kidney transplantation, renal nutrition, nephrolithiasis, and the screening and prevention of chronic kidney diseases.

This prestigious event, endorsed by both international and regional societies and involving numerous distinguished experts, will provide a platform for you to stay informed and share your experiences in all aspects of kidney diseases. Particular focus will be given to the progress made by our countries and the challenges we face in ensuring equitable access to sustainable kidney health across the continent. We invite all stakeholders involved in healthcare delivery, medical education, and patient care—at every stage of their career—to join us and actively engage in this event.
